Spotlight: Tangents abound with Slightly Off-Topic Kurt Sasso Comics, News, spotlight 2 Comments I’ve been putting this off for a while, I lacked motivation. However, because of David and Brittany Adams’ webcomic Slightly Off-Topic I’ve been re-motivated anew! This spotlight was supposed to come out a few weeks ago and for that I apologize. There's no such thing as "Case of the Monday's" here Slightly Off Topic (hereby known as SOT) is a three day a week webcomic that deals with random situations from the mind of the author David (who also inks, writes and colours the strip), while his daughter (on occasion) Brittany pencils these strange tales, Truly its a great blending of talents and as read in their About page made a bad situation work to David’s advantage. Way to stay in there 🙂 They were made of stone and he DID only have two arms... That being said the work of David truly are one of those comics that do get better with time. From crude penciling in the beginning to the style that it’s at now you can telling that a real effort has been made in getting comfortable with their own style. Cake or Death? Death... I mean Cake... The real reason why I keep reading the webcomic is the writing. It is not only well done it’s really funny. It’s a mixture of absurdity and subtly rolled into one. Someday’s it’s just an all out laugh fest. It’s whats keeping this comic fresh every day they update it. If someone says random webcomics are not a genre then truly they aren’t reading them. I would put this webcomic in the same league as Book of Biff anyday of the week, as an equal in terms of content provided with creative writing and art. The Apocalypse has returned this time in spandex If you haven’t been to SOT’s website they run a weekly Contest Corner, as well as having an Extras section with a great selection of Wallpapers and Fan Art. Not to mention the extensive list of webcomics and listing sites and podcasts that David and Britney read and listen to. The clash of the Titans. No hitting below the belt If only this site had a Random button to cycle through the archive. I know you all will enjoy a great webcomic created by David. Catch him on twitter: @n9uxu or send them a well deserved email. Stumble it, Digg it. It’s all worth it 🙂 You'll live longer if you stop now...stress is just mental For those that aren’t into randomness of webcomics I say: Chose it at random, that’s all. I don’t know, just sounded good. Does it matter? 2 Responses Paulrey Seah April 30, 2009 Great webcomic, I really enjoy it! Dave April 28, 2009 Thanks for the write-up. Made my day.
