Semi-Finals:

Rose Loughran is the author of Red Moon Rising and her way to the Semi-Finals was a rather interesting one.

  • Starting off in Round 1 her fans easily took her to the next round with a crushing victory over Tuna Carpaccio PI
  • Round 2 brought her up against eh powerhouse of Sarah Ellerton of Phoenix Requiem & Inverloch and won in a surprisingly convincing manner, great job. Sarah ironically ended up facing RMR opponent in the Semi-Finals
  • Round 3 had RMR facing another strong competitor in Liliy C of Wiglaf & Mordred and it was a close race until the final days with RMR winning by 50 votes.
  • Will RMR continue to prevail against her combatants or will the dark horse of Alone in a Crowd prevail?

    VS.
Tom Szewc is the author of Alone in a Crowd and on his way to the Semi-Finals was some amazing battles.

  • Round 1 was a strong victory against Carlisle Devonish of Steal this Comic and moved onto the next round.
  • Round 2 faced Tom against Irma Eriksson author of Imy Comic. While he didn’t win that round, because he was one of two combatants to have the most votes he moved onto the non-winner bracket of Round 3.
  • In Round 3 of the non-winner bracket, pitted two voting powerhouses of Round 2 with Sarah Ellerton making her way after losing to Red Moon Rising. No matter what, one combatant would move onto the Semi-finals. It was a close race the entire week and Alone in a Crowd prevailed.
  • Now his strongest battle yet against the talented Red Moon Rising.

    Semi-Finals – Bracket 1 – The Winner is:

Jenny Romanchuk author of The Zombie Hunters had an interesting way getting to the Semi’s

  • Round 1 was a solid victory against Peter Vine of Hard Graft and moved onto the next round.
  • Round 2 had the newcomer of Jermaine McGruder from Warrior Born and early on Jermaine was doing extremely well but Jenny battled back and won that round.
  • In Round 3 against a determined Adam Smithee from The Apple of Discord this was a really close battle but in the end The Zombie’s over took the Apple.
  • Now will the Zombie’s dine on the Anthropomorphic characters of Ginpu?

    VS.
Michelle Van Zandt of Ginpu to say that she hasn’t been promoting this past month would be an understatement; Feverishly promoting would be more accurate from Twitter to daily sketches for every day she has been in the tournament, this is the type of dedication to her fans and herself as a brand. But, she has a tough opponent. Can she get over 9000? Here’s how the round stacked up:

  • Round 1 was a stunning victory against Lis Boriss author of Broken Plot Device and moved onto the next round.
  • Round 2 faced Ginpu against Dr. Blkknight fromCrossing Death. This was a huge victory that kept her previous round momentum going into Round 3
  • In Round 3 due to some voting issues Karl Kleese of Willow’s Grove honourably removed himself from the round, due to voting issues. Ginpu moved onto the Semi-finals
  • This is the last round, the last battle before the Finals! Can this promoting machine take out the walking dead Hunters that are The Zombie Hunters?

Round 4 – Bracket 2 – What episode did you like better?
    Michelle Van Zandt – Ginpu

Jeff Schuetze from Jefbot actor, webcomic author and ostrich rider extrodinaire has had an interesting batch of battles to get to the Semi-finals. Here’s how the round stacked up:

  • Round 1 was a close victory against Rachel Keslensky of Last Res0rt! moved onto Round 2.
  • Round 2 Jefbot faced his closest and toughest battle yet against Stef author of Sarah Zero. In the closest bracket this entire tournament. Each put up great numbers. However, in the end there could be only one… and by one vote Jefbot moved onto the next round.
  • Round 3 brought another huge upset and by a large margin, as Jefbot beat the juggernaut of Barb Jacobs from Xylia Tales. This allowed him to advance to the Semi-finals
  • Will the Asian sensation and all of his mystical acting, ostrich riding skill be able to defeat his Legendary opponent in David Reddick from Legend of Bill? This week will tell

    VS.
David Reddick author of many comics including The Legend of Bill has been a strong candidate from the start to get into the Finals Here’s how the round stacked up:

  • Round 1 was a battle I thought was going to be closer battle. LOB crushed Joel Watson from the hilarious Hijinks Ensue to move onto Round 2.
  • The randomization of Round 2 was tough in many respects and Ken Drab from Rick the Stick was David to LOB’s Goliath. Unfortunately this Stick was crushed under LOB voting foot as he stepped into Round 3.
  • Round 3 was a classic Captain Kirk vs. A Red Bull spokeperson with LOB facing off against another favourite Ryan Sohmer from LICD & LFG. This garnered the most amount of votes this entire tournament combined. With that LOB advanced to the Semi-finals
  • Will the Legend of Bill continue or will the Asian sensation shine in the proverbial spotlight? You’re votes count.

Round 4 – Bracket 3 – What episode did you like better?
David Reddick – The Legend of Bill

Lora Innes author of the fabulous The Dreamer has been an award winning author and also is a strong candidate from the start to get into the Finals Here’s how the rounds stacked up:

  • Round 1 started off as a solid battle between two great comics; Chris Flick of Capes N Babes put up a great showing but TD moved onto Round 2.
  • Another great matchup against TL Collins from Bullfinch. Unfortunately only one winner could move on and The Dreamer did that to get into Round 3.
  • If in any round I would love to see to amazing female webcomic authors battle it out it was this one! Round 3 was a classic matchup of two different styles with two amazingly vibrant creators in Irma Erikkson of Imy Comic. But, alas t’was not meant to be for Imy had the final curtain call as The Dreamer advanced to the Semi-finals
  • Will the dream continue on for Lora? Will she find her awaking moments from a perfect slumber to open her eyes in the Finals? Only you can vote to be sure.

    VS.
Ryan Sohmer is a man with a vision in both short and long term. His talent for his business of Blind Ferret and his love of writing for the comics Least I Could Do, Looking For Group & Gutters is just second to none. This is one of my top ten interviews of this year and it was fortunate enough to get him into this Tournament. A definite favourite to make it into the Finals. Here’s how the rounds stacked up:

  • Round 1 started off with a dominant victory over Scott Austin from Heroes Inc. in which Heroes put up a great showing but the Sohmer machine rolled onto Round 2.
  • Another randomization that was tough to see but Andrew Schnorr from Elderly Apple had to face someone in the second Round but lost as Sohmer moved onto Round 3
  • If there was another epic battle of amazing webcomic authors battle it out it was this one! Round 3 pitted two powerhouses against each other. However it was David Reddick from Legend of Bill beating out Sohmer in a great matchup. Because, of the number of votes Sohmer received he advanced to the Semi-finals only non-winner.
  • Will the machine of Ryanh Sohmer and Least I Could Do / Looking for Group roll over and crush The Dreamer? Only your votes can determine that!

Round 4 – Bracket 4 – What episode did you like better?
